I just wanted to send you a picture and say thank you for all your help and support. I wouldn’t have this to be possible just 3 months ago!

Viggo has really improved, he walks like a dream, recall is sort of working, leave it is almost there unless it’s something really tasty like a dummy.

I contacted Leaps and Bounds as my lab Rosie had been anxious meeting other dogs for a while and my other dog, Timmy, needed work on his recall and general bounciness around people. A behaviourist came to my garden to do an assessment and from there we started regular 121 training, alternating between dogs and working on their individual needs. 

The behaviourist was lovely, very calm and very patient (with owners and dogs).  It was obvious my dogs had more respect for her than me immediately.  I wanted to start with some simple steps to follow that I can easily practice on my own and I definitely felt we achieved this and will progress further when lockdown is over. Highly recommended.

We were having a real problem with our 2yr old Lab Willow barking loudly and getting over-excited whenever anyone came to the house.  I reached out to Leaps and Bounds for some 1 on 1 training to see if they could help. I was immediately impressed with the team’s calm, patient approach to training, and that Willow responded in such a positive way from the very first session.

We’ve had a few 1 on 1 training sessions, both at home and outdoors, and Willow’s meet and greet behaviour is now so much improved I am really happy – I cannot recommend Leaps and Bounds highly enough!

You told me once to hang in until Christmas and I’d hopefully have a nice dog  you were totally right! (It didn’t take as long as Christmas in fact!).

Luna’s lovely now   we still do lots of training (she can sit, down, wait, leave it, back up, spin both ways, go round my legs, roll over, play dead and neeeearly sit pretty, and her recall is usually great – although right now she’s a bit too interested in boy dogs.

Just wanted to say THANK YOU, and we’ll hopefully be back at leaps and bounds at some point – I’ve still got aspirations to do agility with her one day!

I have only been working with Leaps ands Bounds for a short time but Teddy has improved so much, the sessions are fun and always kind to the dog.  We are both learning so much with something new each time.

I first met Tammy about 10 years ago when we took our very large labradoodle Crunchie to the puppy classes at Hildersham village hall. The classes were fun, as well as very well organised the girls really know they stuff and the improvement with all the dogs was amazing. 

I then contacted Tammy again about 18 months ago with another puppy, this time a Doxipoo called Peanut who, to say the least, is a nightmare! This time I was training outside in their secure paddock in Bartlow doing one to ones. It was a slow start but with the teams patience and experience he started to improve, taking notice of me, coming when called, walking on a lead nicely.

So, slowly over the weeks he improved and we took him over the rec, fields, different environments. He’s not there yet but a massive improvement on what she started with still needs work on recall and attempting to trust him off the lead………. Due to Covid we have had to stop but they were on the end of a phone, text ,Email or video call  if I need advice. 

Leap & Bounds are a brilliant dog training school with friendly experienced staff offering all types of activities from puppies ,to hyper active dogs, naughty dogs , nervous ones you name it they will help you out. I have recommended them to several owners who have been very pleased with the results.
